The bitter cold weather continues. This is unusual for even Ontario to have such a long stretch of bitter cold weather. We usually have a 3 or 4 day cold snap but not a 3 week one….and to make matters worse it may snow all through the night! It may get down to -20C (-4F) – that’s cold! This cold spell will continue until next week too.
Today is card
number five from a series of cards I made using the same stamp but six totally
different cards.
To refresh your memory or in case you didn’t see the previous posts; the alcohol inked backgrounds were stamped with the same stamp and they were stamped with VersaMark ink and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. I cut a piece off of this one and made two cards from it….card six on Wednesday. There was a piece of alcohol inked cardstock left over so the sentiment was heat embossed on white on it and it was then attached to a strip of vellum…using those green brads. The vellum was wrapped around the focal piece and taped down. It was then mounted on a piece of striped cardstock and then onto a white card base. I thought this one would be suitable for a man or a woman to receive.

Oh its bitter cold here too Violet! We were -8F last night... I don't know if i've ever been in that cold of weather! LOTS of snow!!! But too cold to go out and play in it! Today its supposed to get up to 20 and i think i can try to go walk in that.. do some shoveling.. build a snowman..lol We've been below freezing day and night for a week! Very unusual for here..
