and here’s a White-crowned sparrow.
Today’s card was made for the Merry Monday challenge at www.alwaysplayingwithpaper.blogspot.ca.
The challenge this week was to make a card with a bird on it. Well I just
happened to have three stamped images coloured up and ready to be made into
cards so I pulled them out. This is a Stampin’ Up stamp I borrowed from a
friend of mine.
This was coloured with water colour pencils, blended with water. Dies are from Spellbinders and I’m really loving this die. The little tags are from Cuttlebug dies and the gold sentiment, stars, etc. are a peel-and-stick. The background paper is from the stash. I made all three cards in the same design but different backgrounds and different coloured ovals. Here’s the other two.
Update on the grandson with a broken arm – he broke it
Sunday, stayed home with his mom on Monday and back to school on Tuesday. He is
one tough little trooper that one! He was back in school before I got a card
made for him!
That’s it for a Wednesday!
Cheers
Violet
He sure is one brave boy! Maybe he'll have fun showing off his cast and get everyone to sign it!
ReplyDeleteI cannot imagine that many bluejays all in one place. That must have been spectacular!! Hugs! deb
I love the pictures of the butterfly and sparrow.
ReplyDeleteYour bird cards are wonderful too. Lovely colouring on the images.
Thanks for joining us at Merry Monday.
Very pretty 'bird' cards with the different papers.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen that many blue jays together but I know several can really make a lot of noise when they are together. They know how to tell the news when they are disturbed about something getting near their nests.
Nice photos you shared.
Beautiful cards...love your coloring! :0)
ReplyDeleteWhat a special picture of the Monarch and the sparrow is so pretty. We don't have that kind of sparrow here. Your cards are all beautiful! It's amazing how the different backgrounds give each a very different look! Thanks so much, Violet, for sharing these with us at Merry Monday!
ReplyDeleteYou've used one of my favourite Christmas bird stamps! And used it beautifully! Wonderful colouring, and I agree, it looks great cut out with that particular die!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful set of cards, they have a lovely traditional fee! Your colouring with the pencils looks amazing.
