Last Thursday was April 1 and Mother Nature pulled a nasty trick on us here in Southwestern Ontario and we had snow - yes, snow! Luckily it didn’t last long but for awhile we had quite a blizzard…..we couldn’t see the stop light that is a block from our house at one point. Nasty!
It was cold and windy for the last couple of days but yesterday the weather as much nicer and we had our first hike at Rondeau Provincial Park. It was as busy as a Sunday in the summer too; everyone else had the same idea as us - it’s Easter Sunday and almost everything is closed (our province has been shut down again because of Covid) so lets get some fresh air and exercise. Today we had rain so we stayed in.
Today I’m posting two cards because they were both made at the same time using the same stamp and process but one is vertical, one horizontal. Hope you like them.
First the flowers were stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then the card was dipped into various Distress Inks and Oxide Inks until I liked it. A bit of extra pink was sponged over the flowers. Then the pink and white and green inks were watered down and splattered over the card. It was put in the Tim H. stamping platform and the sentiment was stamped - I think the sentiments were from a very old Close to my Heart stamp set. Then it was adhered to the green card base.
That’s all for Monday, April 5, 2021.
Cheers
Violet
