Well our nice fall weather is gone and its back to seasonal temperatures which are also known as cold! They had snow just north and east of here yesterday but the snow we had melted before it hit the ground….which suited me just fine.
I’ve been hard at it getting my Christmas cards finished do I can get back to scrapbooking. I haven’t done much of that because I’ve been trying to get the last few Christmas quilts finished - one more to go! But here is one cute card I did finish.
The cat was stamped and coloured with pencils and blended with gamsol. Then I cut it out and set it aside because I had no idea how I wanted to add it to a card. Finally I stamped some evergreen boughs on a piece of cardstock that I had lightly sponged blue ink on and then die cut a couple boughs as well. I didn’t have any evergreen bough stamps so I die cut one out of foam. It worked quite well. So then I glued the cat on top of the stamped boughs and then added the die cut ones on top so he looks like he’s caught in the boughs. I decided it needed a frame so I die cut the frame and added it over the image; glued it to a colourful background and then onto a green card base which is the same cardstock as the frame. The sentiment was stamped and added on adhesive dimensional strips.
My grandson has a cat so this one may go to him.
That’s all for a cold and windy Monday, November 15, 2021.
Cheers
Violet
