It’s above freezing and all the ice and snow is melting. I was actually hot with a winter coat on walking today. Tonight we will start receiving a predicted record breaking rain storm. It may rain starting overnight and not quit until tomorrow night because it could be close to 50F tomorrow. But Mother Nature is cruel and we will be back to below freezing temperatures and snow on Thursday. Typical February weather.
Today’s card would qualify for quick and easy - but that doesn’t mean boring.
I’m once again trying to use up left over pieces of paper and cardstock. I found this striped piece of heavy paper and went searching for a sold piece to go with it and found that hot pink…perfect! I have a die that die cuts that fancy edge on an angle and used that. The hello sentiment was die cut from the left over piece of hot pink and glued on, on an angle. Then it needed something else. I really should try to make all these decisions before starting but I never do. My mother used to say I flew by the seat of my pants and I guess I still do. There was a large piece of the striped paper left over so I die cut that fancy butterfly from it but when I placed it on the hot pink I just didn’t like it. So I sponged some glue over the top of it and sprinkled on very fine glitter from Stampin’ Up. Much nicer. The striped paper is barely visible through the glitter but in person, it makes a nice pattern. Not sure you can see it in the photo. It was then glued to a standard white card base. So it was quick and easy but I liked how it turned out.
That’s all for a very mild Monday, February 21, 2022.
Cheers
Violet
