I’m back and feeling just fine! Thank goodness that flu only lasted a week. I’ve been told its floating all around - probably because of the wonky weather we’ve been having. So far Hubby hasn’t caught it and I’m hoping he doesn’t. Nasty flu!
I was feeling a bit better over the weekend so I made a few cards. Here’s one of them.
I was in the dollar store the other day and happened to walk down the craft aisle, even though there was nothing on that aisle on my list of what I needed, and I spotted some very pretty papers in 6” pack - for $1.25 each. Well, three of those packs just sort of jumped in my cart! Of course, some of the papers were all over design, which is nice to work with, but some were like the paper in the above card, that had flowers and butterflies around the edge but nothing in the middle. Well, if you are making 6” cards that could work but I seldom make them so instead of skipping past it like I did the past I removed it from the pack and cut it down to 4” x 5.25” so it would fit on a standard A2 card and leave a small border around the edges. Then the curvy banner was die cut and the sentiment stamped. The butterflies were pretty, but I wanted them to have some bling, so I went over them with one of those glimmer pens like Wink of Stella…. hard to see in the photo but much prettier in real life. I’ll figure out what to do with the left-over strip too…. trying hard not to add to the stash!
That’s all for a rainy Halloween night on Monday, October 31, 2022. We only had 17 trick or treaters and only two between 6:40 and 7:25 so I shut down early this year.
Cheers
Violet

Good morning Violet! i love how you've tucked the butterflies away underneath the banner. Great decision that really added some dimension. You introduced me to Wink of Stella and i LOVE it! Hugs! deb
