Two Butterfly Cards

Ahhh. The furnace is off, the windows are open, the sun is shining and it’s a beautiful September day….oh wait, it’s November, not September. This is the first November either one of us can remember being able to turn the furnace off. It will be the same tomorrow too. It won't last, but we are enjoying it while it does.

I had some fun making cards this week. I’m posting two cards today because they were made from one piece of 6” paper from one of the new paper packs I picked up at the dollar store.

Here is the first card I made.

I cut the 6” paper where I could get two panels without cutting a butterfly in half. I didn’t worry about exact measurements this time. To pick up the blue in the butterflies I made a blue card base and glued the panel on in the middle. Then silver scalloped peel-off lines were added down each side. A piece of left over blue the same as the card base was glued on an angle across the card with a peel-off sentiment and flower added. Quick and easy yet very effective.

Here is the second card.

The second panel was smaller than the first one so I glued it to the left side of the blue card base and added fancy silver strips down both sides. The sentiment was die cut from silver paper and glued one. Another quick and easy card but also effective.

That’s all for a beautiful day here in Ontario on November 3, 2022.

Cheers

Violet
