We had yet another beautiful fall day here in Ontario, but rain is coming tonight, and it will be cooling off again - cooling off to cold unfortunately.
Today I’m sharing a card I made that is out of my comfort zone - which I’m trying to break out of.
I don’t usually do a scrappy card quite like this one.. its almost a mixed media type. Someone gave me some partially made 6” square cards that were not my style at all - and the glue they used did not hold so all the elements were loose or falling right off. So the first thing I did was remove the elements and cut the card bases down to the standard A2 size, which is 4.25 x 5.5.
This card had a copy of an old envelope sort of stuck on it but it started to rip as I tried to remove it. That’s okay, I like the grunge look so I simply let it rip and inked the edges. Then I sorted through my own stash to find a little darker coloured cardstock than the card base and glued it on; and then added that fleur-de-lis patterned paper to the left and then glued the old envelope back on. The old car is a die cut that I die cut twice and glued together to give it some dimension. I added some ink underneath it to ground it. The old-fashioned man is a Tim Holtz paper doll. The sentiments are computer generated.
That’s all for Thursday, November 24, 2022.
Cheers
Violet
