Rain, rain and more rain. Its been a very wet weekend and the week ahead is going to be, more rain!
Today I’m posting Aqua Cards number 6 and 7 because they are made with basically the same design. (If you are just joining in, please do back a few posts for the start of the Aqua card Challenge)
Both cards had a sheet of background designer paper cut to 4 x 5.25 so they would be glued to a standard A2 size card and leave a thin white border. Then a strip was cut and glued to the left side with gold peel-off strips down the edges. After that, there were a few changes.
This card’s strip was about 2” wide. A stitched circle was die cut using white cardstock and then blue ink was sponged around the edges - the white just glared too much. Then more of the ‘used to be stickers but now you have to fussy cut them’ were finally fussy cut and glued with dimensional dots while some flowers where glued flat beneath them.
The sentiment is a gold peel-off.
Next card.
The strip down the left side on this card was the piece left over from the first card I showed you. A larger stitched circle was die cut and then a smaller one from velum which was placed on top. Then those fussy cut birds were glued on with dimensional dots. There was still a piece of the same cardstock as the strip so a tag was die cut and a small gold peel-off sentiment was added there. For the gold bow, I just used a small piece of a gold line with a gold flower on top.
The next three cards were made using the left over strips, but those will be posted on another day.
That’s all for a cold and wet Sunday, April 30, 2023.
Cheers
Violet
