Happy Birthday Card - CPS 258

More computer problems. My hubby's laptop was infected with a dreadful virus. It was one of those that tell you have have viruses and they will remove them for a price - don't ever fall for that. They actually infest your computer, take your money and don't fix your computer. My neighbour was not available this time but luckily a distant cousin in Baltimore read my plight and helped me fix it. What a mess. But everything is up and running now so that is good.

Last night we went to see Blue Suede Shoes starring Roy LeBlanc as Elvis. He is the best Elvis impersonator we have ever seen. Great show. Love it. The guy who played Col. Tom Parker looked just like the real Col. Parker. Great casting.

So, because of all the computer problems and going for acupuncture on the elbow which is showing small signs of improvement, I didn't get to post yesterday. But today I'm posting a card from the sketch provided by Card Positioning Systems' blog, (http://cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.ca/). I'm also posting this on another blog, http://www.theoldbackporch.com/ .

All the paper (except the green) came from an 8x8 paper pack that I bought at the Paper Pickle a year or so ago so likely not available. I liked the flowery background but I decided it needed some oomph so ran it thru the Cuttlebug with the Happy Birthday embossing folder and then sanded the raised parts. The butterfly is also a Cuttlebug die but the green flowers were die cut from a Sizzix die. The centre of the flowers are little beads I picked up at the dollar store. The flowers are popped up for dimension.
