Merry Monday 10 - Christmas Candles

I am posting two different posts today so be sure to check the first one out too. I had to get both these cards linked to the perspective blogs by tonight so I'm playing catch-up.

This card will be linked to: http://alwaysplayingwithpaper.blogspot.com/ who post a sketch each week but the rules are a little different then other blog rules. They want you to make a Christmas card using their sketch. That way, come December, you will have your Christmas cards pretty much made for the season. Love this idea. Here's mine.
I haven't used this stamp too much because I always had trouble figuring out what to do with the candles to make them look like candles. Then I pulled out the little jar of Liquid Pearls and it worked perfectly. The rest of the card is coloured with water colour pencils. I added Stickles to the flames and sprinkled on glitter around the outside of the flames using my Essential Glue Pen to make the small dots of glue. The background was run thru the snowflake Cuttlebug folder and the rectangles dies are from Spellbinders. The bows were coloured with water coloured pencils too but they looked flat so I went over them with a red gel pen. It doesn't show well in the card but they look shiny like real satin bows on the card. I wanted a flash of red so I added a red cardstock stripe, then a white ribbon, and then the red bow. Done!
