Wow, what a night! We had such a thunderstorm roll thru here about 2:30 a.m. it was incredible. Hubby and I got up and quickly shut the windows and I turned on the A/C. The wind was blowing the curtains out straight it was blowing so hard. Then again about 7:00 a.m. it started again and this time it was actually worse. It rained so hard it was pouring off the sides of the house instead of going down the eavestroughs...I guess they can only hold so much! We needed a good rain but an all day drizzlier would have been better.
I needed to make some more birthday cards for little girls for my stash. Here's the first one I made this week.
I love this little kitten stamp that a friend of mine gave me. I stamped it on water colour paper and coloured it with water colour pencils. The rectangles and rectangle scallops are from Spellbinders, of course. The background paper came in a pack of loose 8x8's that I won so I have no idea who made it. The ribbon is from the dollar store. I had bought a roll of it to make some ribbon roses but it turned out it was too stiff and frayed way too easily for that purpose. So, I made a bow out of it and it turned out way nicer then I thought it would. Because it's stiff it keeps the shape very nicely. I tied the bow with my homemade bow maker I made out of Grunge board. A simple but very cute birthday card for a little girl.
