Friday again - rain again later today and all night and all day tomorrow according to the last forecast. However, the forecast is not, as everyone knows, all the reliable. It is "subject to change" as Joe always says.
Yesterday was yard work day but I didn't have much to do except water and pull some thistles and goldenrod from the garden. The guy that moved into the house behind us a few years ago and the people right next door let their backyards go wild and seldom cut the front lawn. They have goldenrod and thistles so high they are taller then the fence - so of course, now I have them! Neither one has any pride in where they live at all...and they are the only ones on the street - thank goodness!
So, because I didn't have much yard work to do I spent some time in the studio and was able to make a card to submit to Stamping Bella for her challenge. This week it was a sketch and I used a new stamp I just bought at the Paper Pickle - our only scrapbooking store that is down sizing big time. No more stamps or inks to be sold there. Just paper and glue and what have you and only open on Saturdays. Sad to see it change but I did pick up a few stamps 50% off that I wanted.
This stamp is called Ramona Loves Cake. This time I was smart enough to pick the paper first before colouring up the image. I don't always do this! With fall around the corner I decided to use some fall colours - all water colour pencils. Turns out I don't have a chocolate brown pencil so I will have to pick one up. There are orange Stickles on the cake and a light coat of Glossy Accents on the berries to make them shiny. The sentiment came with the stamp. It was die cut with a Quickutz tag die and the squares were Spellbinder dies.
Enjoy your weekend everyone! Stay safe and have fun!
