A Bellariffic Friday Card

Another Friday already. This year is just speeding past. I had everything packed and ready to go to Aqua Fit but when the alarm went off at 7:00 a.m. I turned it off and laid back down. I had quite a bit of pressure in my head (raining here) and I thought if I just lay here for a minute until I fully wake up I'll be fine. Well that was a long minute. I opened my eyes at 7:40. OK, I thought, if I hurry I can still make it. My body decided otherwise because next thing I knew it was 8:10. Needless to say no Aqua Fit for me today but it's just as well because the pressure is still there.

As soon as I post this card I'm back to the sewing room to finish the costumes. Sometimes if it wasn't for the last minute, I wouldn't get anything done!

This week Stamping Bella provided a sketch - and yes, I followed it. Sort of.

This is one of the new stamps I picked up at the Paper Pickle's downsizing sale and the first time I coloured it up. Once again I did all the colouring with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol before picking out the paper. DUH! Luckily I found some paper that worked pretty well with the image.  The pink rectangle was run thru the Cuttlebug with an embossing folder of music notes and then cut to size and the edges inked with hot pink - used the same ink pad to ink the edges of the background paper. I hate blah edges. The inside of some of the flowers have tiny cranberry coloured gem stones added and then some Stickles were spread on her dress and around her. I just quirt out a bit of Stickles and spread it around with my finger. Works for me but then again, I'm a very messy crafter.

Have a blessed weekend everyone!

  1. You have some of the prettiest stamps Violet! This one is sooo cute!

I always seem to work better under pressure....why is that? I don't like to work under pressure of a time constraint but i seem to get the most done that way...... :)

  2. What pretty soft colors! Your color choices bring out the magic in that stamp!
