So far it’s been a very good day; however, it didn’t start
out that well because I turned the alarm off instead of
hitting the doze button so I slept in a bit.
While I was trying to decide if I wanted to hurry to get to Aqua Fit Joe said
he really wanted to go for a nice long walk and would I skip Aqua Fit and go
with him – decision made! I hate rushing. Before we left I filled up all the
bird feeders. As we were watching the blue jays fight over the whole peanuts I
put in a little cup for them, Joe said, “Look! On the fence…it’s a robin!” He
was right there was a robin. Odd to see them this time of the year but maybe it’s
a sign that we are going to have a mild winter and some have decided to stay.
(Yeah right) We then went out for our walk and as we were walking along the
Thames River
I said, “There’s another robin!” Now it could have been the same one because we
are only about six blocks from the river but who knows…they do all look the
same after all.
Today is another Bellariffic Friday day. Last week I won
another $20 in Bella bucks which is like a gift certificate for anything from
her website – and usually I pick her stamps. I have a binder full of them and
some left over. The winners are just picked by random only so everyone has the
same chance to win. This week we were to make a card using a sketch. Here is
mine.
This stamp can be used for either a Christmas stamp or a
birthday stamp. I use it mostly for a birthday cards for little girls with
birthdays in the winter time. It was coloured with Prismacolor pencils and
gamsol. The blue paper is from small 6” packs from Studio G - $1.00 at
Michaels. The pink paper is from my stash. The little embellishment in the
corner was made by die cutting two of the smallest dies from Spellbinder’s
Majestic Square die
set and then offsetting them on top of each other and adding a peel-and-stick greeting.
And that would be all for a Friday. I think I’ll post a
scrapbook page I just made this weekend that is my all time favorite.
Happy weekend everyone!
Cheers
Violet
