A Butterfly Cut Out Card

Another Monday….but I’m retired so who cares! Like they say, being retired is like having 6 Saturdays and then a Sunday. I’m recovering from yesterday’s bad day. Although I’m feeling better I’m pretty tired so there will not be much creative endeavours around here today. I did get some cards made in the last couple of weeks though so here’s one of them. It’s a cut-away card. I haven’t made one for awhile and thought it was about time for another one.

More of that pretty embossed paper was used on the front of this card that was in with some other crafting items from the thrift store. I love surprise packages – especially crafty ones. The fancy paper was glued to the card front and then the card was run through the Big Shot with the Cuttlebug butterfly die on the front only. The butterfly was embossed with one of the folders that came with the die. That wide wire edged ribbon was in the same package. I laid it out flat and stamped and embossed the sentiment in gold. There is a strip of plain cardstock the same colour as the ribbon behind it so the sentiment shows up. The butterfly was glued to the inside of the card right where it was die cut from. Here’s the inside of the card.

I like how these turn out and I just may make some more with different dies. I think I need a dragonfly die too.

Take care all for today.

Cheers
Violet
