A Hummingbird Card

Another day, another change in weather. Cold again here. The sudden change of temperature means a sudden change of atmospheric pressure which my two brain disorders (trigeminal neuralgia and hemi facial paralysis) do not like at all. Needless to say I’m not doing much today. Our church is making dresses to be sent to Nicaragua and I was going to go to help sew this afternoon but ended up just dropping off some material for them. Maybe next time I’ll make it. One day at a time is my motto anymore.

Last week when it was mild for a couple of days I headed down to the basement, sorry I should say lower studio, to make some cards. I was sorting through some images that I had stamped but hadn’t made into cards yet and found several hummingbird images from an Inkadinkado stamp I had from The Paper Pickle when they were renting them out. Man, I must have gone crazy stamping that image because I know I’ve already made several cards using it and I have another stack to go through. Actually, I love that stamp and may buy it. Here is one of the cards I just made with it.

I had a few that were already embossed in black and coloured in with Lumiere paint which is very shiny. So it was easy to make this one. I die cut the image with the Spellbinder circle die and used their small scallop die to die cut the pink. The background paper is from the stash. Then the three pretty pink dew drops and a bow were added. I love hummingbirds and can’t wait to see them in my backyard again! Hurry up spring!!!!

Cheers

Violet

  1. What a gorgeous stamp that you tuned into an absolutely beautiful card!
I love hummingbirds too. I'll be happy when they come back.

In Tx i had a trumpet vine that they loved. Its amazing how those little birds can sound like B-52 bomber buzzing in your ear! Hugs! deb
