Well they weren’t kidding about the snow coming. This is
what we woke up this morning – and it’s still coming down.
From our front door.
A fellow walking down the sidewalk – or close to it. Not
sure it’s easily found today.
Kids walking to school. No, it was not a snow day! Although
the school buses out in the country were all cancelled the city schools are
open. Takes more snow than that to cancel school around here.
Our neighbour across the road just had to leave this morning
for coffee with her friends (as she does every morning) and when she got home she couldn’t get into her
driveway. She was spinning the wheels, going back and forth a bit and finally
gave up and parked over by a hydro building nearby. Why, why, why do people
decide they have to drive in weather like this when they don’t have to? Crazy.
Our driveway is plugged too but we aren’t going anywhere until we get it ploughed
out.
Okay, enough about the weather. Here’s today card. A nice
happy blue card to remind us that spring is going to come – eventually.

Dragonflies are another love of mine. So pretty and so hard
to photograph! However this one is a stamp from Inkadinkado that I embossed
with sparkly blue embossing powder and then cut around it. A friend of mine
gave me her stamps and one of them was a large background stamp….something I
have very few of so I was very thankful to get this one. I inked it up with blue ink and stamped the card front then
added the royal blue paper. I found this piece of light blue paper with a
shimmer to it and die cut it with a Spellbinder’s fancy oval die and popped the
dragonfly one with dimensional glue dots. The flowers came from a stem from the
dollar store and I just remove all the plastic and spray them with some
homemade glimmer mist to give them shine and glued them on. The little tags
were die cut from a Cuttlebug die and they were tied together with a piece of
embroidery thread and then glued on. The ferns were punched out with a Martha
Stewart punch and then the pearls were added. I like this one!
That’s all from the snowy North!
Cheers
Violet
I admire your restraint Violet! I think i would have had to color that dragonfly within an inch of its life.... :) I love your blue and white card. I just took some flowers apart last night while watching TV.... wait until you see what i do with them!
