A Bellariffic Friday Card

We are finally getting a nice steady rain that the garden needs so badly…at least ours does. Hubby and I filled in the ruts along the edge of our lawn that the neighbours left and planted new grass seed and nothing is better for grass seed than rain water. As long as the birds didn’t eat the seeds the lawn should be as good as new soon.

So, we watched American Idol this morning and I was so sad to see CJ get the lowest votes. I love his voice and he seems like such a nice guy too. Hopefully he will get a recording contract.

Other than that, not much happening around here so I’ll get right to the post. Today’s card is one I made for the Bellariffic Friday challenge at www.stampingbella.com and she provided us with a sketch this week.

Of course we also have to use one of her images and this one is one of my favourites. It was coloured with Prismacolor pencils with some Stickles added for sparkle. The die cut rectangle is from Spellbinders and it cut the little butterfly by the top scoop of ice cream in half and it looked odd so I just used a Stampin’ Up die cut butterfly instead. Actually all the die cuts were made with Spellbinder dies. The circle one is a new one I picked up at the Paper Pickle when they had a clearance. It comes with the fancy flower type die and a matching plain one. This is the first time I used it and I quite like it. The strip was cut and embossed and a strip of ribbon that came with adhesive on the back was added on top. Her sketch had the three little gems at the bottom going vertically but I took artistic license and flipped them horizontally.

That would be all for a rainy Friday. Have a wonderful and crafty weekend everyone.

Cheers

Violet

I was afraid to mess it up but just bit the bullet and said if i mess it up i can just paint over it! :) Big Hugs! deb
