Boy with Balloons Card

Not much to report today so this will be a short posting. This was just a nice quiet day here with me in my lower studio getting some cards done and Joe was resting after running some errands. Tonight we went over to the hospital to see his sister who is having some health problems and just got in the house when the rain started coming down hard. Glad it waited until we got home as they were predicting severe thunderstorms all day.

Today’s card is another Magnolia stamp; this time for a boy.

Once again it was coloured with Prismacolor pencils. The rectangles were die cut with the Spellbinder’s Create-a-Card set. The long strip was backed with the same cardstock as the light blue rectangle and the edges of the paper on the card base were inked with Broken Glass Distress Ink. He just looked like he should be holding something so I stamped the balloons, coloured them with chalk and a blender pen and cut them out. They were attached with dimensional glue dots and then I drew in the strings with a black Sharpie.

I think I’ll just curl up with a good book tonight. I woke up at 5:30 this morning and couldn’t get back to sleep. That makes it such a long day.

Cheers

Violet

  1. The balloons are perfect Violet! Aaah RAIN!!! send some this way please!! This evening we are getting a nice delta breeze blowing in. Beautiful! Kicks alot of dust up into the house but i deal with that just to have the cool breeze coming in the window. Take care and have a nice night. I have my book handy too. Hubby stayed up late last night so he hit the hay early tonight. He has a 4am wake up. Hugs! deb
