A Fairy Card

Another Monday has rolled around and we are still recovering from the weekend. As if having two active boys for a week was not tiring enough, on Saturday we went for a very cool 25km bike ride. The wind was so strong the waves on Lake Erie were the highest we have ever seen. Saturday also happened to be the annual Triathlon and those poor people had to swim in that rough water. Sunday we went up to Sarnia for a BBQ lunch and saw another art-in-the-park venue so we wandered through it and walked a long way along the Detroit River. It was a beautiful day with just a wee bit of a cool wind blowing, but nothing like Saturday’s wind. So today was a take it easy day. Joe did laundry and I hung it out on the line; we had a 2 hour coffee and chitchat with one of the neighbours; and I finished a quilt top. This neighbour tried to fix my printer but it is a goner so now I have to buy a new printer and there are so many choices out there it’s hard to pick just the right one.

Today’s card is one made from a digi stamp.

I really like this little fairy stamp. It was coloured with Prismacolor pencils. All the dies used were Spellbinders. The paper is from the stash. The bow is from the shoe factory (sad it’s now closed) and it just happened to match the blue paper. Once it was all assembled I decided it needed some bling so the blue gemstones were added. The wings shimmer in real life because I ran the Versamark pen over them and then sprinkled on mica powder from the Dollar Tree eye shadow.

That’s it for a Monday. It’s so quiet here without my boys!

Cheers
Violet
