Last night we had the thunderstorm of the year! It was a doozy –
lightning, thunder, pounding rain and even a tornado warning was issued. These
April showers are getting a little out of hand. We are expected to have a
couple of rain free and warmer temperatures for the weekend but another
thunderstorm is expected on Monday. Needless to say, there was no quilting
again today but I got another 12 cards made. I am more than prepared for any
occasion that requires a card!!! If tomorrow is a non-quilting day I’m going to
work on some scrapbook layouts instead of making cards.
I’m still playing with various layouts for the Poppystamps windowsill die.
Here’s a favourite of mine. I'm entering this one in this challenge: http://www.scrapyland-blog.com
The top layer is some shiny cardstock I ran through an embossing
folder. The birds are from a note card. I love Eastern Bluebirds and hope to
see some this spring once birding starts. The flowers were off-white and on a
bunch. I removed the plastic bits and I spritzed some blue spray one them. Once
they were dry, I stacked them back together and held them in place with the
silver brad. The leaves are from a Die-Namites die. I think it turned out okay….but
maybe it’s because I love the birds. This could be a birthday or thinking of you card.
That’s all for a Friday. Have a wonderful, safe weekend
everyone.
Cheers
Violet
Love the Window die and the picture you put behind it is perfect! Feels like a bright and sunny Spring day! Thanks for playing along with us at Scrapy Land Challenge #15!
ReplyDelete12 cards is amazing, Violet! That's wonderful. Those dangerous thunderstorms can be unnerving - that's for sure. Your card is beautiful - I love the pretty bird behind the window die cut - great idea for using your blue tones, and the design is perfect for the SL challenge!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your pretty project in the Scrapy Land Challenge! hugs and blessings, de {Creative Smiles}
