Ahhhhh.
Sunday. No helping the sister pack….no insisting on purging….no lifting boxes
and bags. I was desperately in need of some art therapy so I’ve been down in
the ‘lower studio’ (aka the basement) making some cards. Joe has yet another
cold so he’s grounded and I’m hoping I don’t catch it so the basement is a good
place to hide.
I
just found another card challenge site: http://casmixup.blogspot.ca/2016/03/cas-mix-up-march-challenge.html
and their challenge was to make a CAS (clean and simple) card that included a)
water colour b) stamp c) one other element…….and here’s the card I made to
enter.
It’s
a simple water coloured splash and then water coloured splattered background.
An old but cute stamp from Inkadinkado and my extra element are the gems. These
are quick cards to make but so much fun to do. I hope it meets the requirements.
Well,
back down to the studio. I also made two double pocket cards so I’ll have something
to post next week!
Cheers
Violet
Your soft watercoloured background is gorgeous, Violet ... especially paired with the dark silhouette of your intricate bird. Those gems really add a lot of sparkle and shine. Also love the scored frame (another technique!) ... looks awesome! Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got some art therapy, Violet! We all need that. Love your soft watercolor wash and the pretty image! The gems and spatters add extra texture and interest! Thanks so much for sharing this with us at CAS Mix Up!
ReplyDeleteLove how you've put watercolors to use for you! Very pretty and soft background for that sweet bird.
