It’s
another hot day here in Ontario
but not as much humidity so that makes it so much more comfortable. I finally
got my new cards photographed so I can post some this week. Here is the first
one I made.
The
designer paper is from an old 8”x8” paper pack so it had to be cut down to fit
this standard 4” x 5 ½” card base…..leaving about an 1/8” white border. The
left over pieces were used in cards yet to be posted. The doilies have been in
my stash for ages and it was time to use them. This time it was cut in half.
The pinkish/purplish oval had been die cut before but not used so it counts as
one more item out of the stash! When I
was walking through the dollar store last week I spotted a package of elements
with those lovely daisies and clippers and other items to match…..couldn’t
resist them and I’m glad because they suited this card perfectly. The butterfly
was die cut from one of the smaller left over pieces of the designer paper…Memory
Box die….and the tag was die cut from sold dark pink with a Cuttlebug die….not
sure where the sentiment stamp came from.
Once I was happy with the
arrangements it was all glued down and then glued to the designer paper. The
ribbon was then added before the entire think was glued to the card base. That’s
more paper out of the stash. If I can just make about 500 more cards it just
might be used up….or at almost used up….groan.
That’s
all for a hot but as humid Tuesday,
Cheers
Violet

Last year we didn't have these temps until mid July or August...uuughhh... Our humidity is high too... At least we are past the Summer Soltice and our days are getting shorter.. always makes me happy. Stay cool my friend. Hugs! deb
