It’s
going to feel like 100ºF today! This photo was being shared on Facebook today
so I thought I would share it with you too.
These,
of course, are wind turbines that generate electricity and they are scattered
through out south-western Ontario
– much to the bane of some people. Hopefully we get a thunderstorm today and it
will cut the humidity somewhat.
This
is yet another Crazy Cat card I created. This one meets the requirements for
this challenge: http://www.scrapyland-blog.com
The
yellow checked paper covered a 5 ½” blank card base. The brown cardstock was
run through a Cuttlebug birthday die and then the middle circle was die cut
with a Spellbinders die. A piece of scrap yellow cardstock that was first
sponged with some Distress Dried Marigold was placed behind the brown. It’s
hard to see the sponging in the photo but you can see it in real life. The cat
was coloured with water colour pencils; blended with water and cut out. The hat
was stamped and cut out as well and a slit was made to insert the cat’s one
ear. The balloon was die cut with a Little B die with a splash of white paint
added as a hi-lite and tied to the cat’s tail with black thread. The sentiment
is computer generated and on a die cut tag with the edges inked in black.
Don’t
forget you are more than welcome to save any cards to your Pinterest account
for future reference. Simply place the curser over the picture until the
Pinterest sign shows up and enter. This will take you to your Pinterest
account.
Have
a safe, happy and creative weekend everyone. I may post another quilt over the
weekend so pop in for a visit.
Cheers
Violet
What a cute card! I love the cat with that look on his/her face! The embossed background looks amazing too! Thanks for playing along with us at Scrapy Land Challenges! I hope it cools off for you soon!
ReplyDeleteI adore crazy cat cards as well as crazy cats. Wonderful design, Violet, and great coloring on the cat! Thanks so much for joining in the "Anything Goes" challenge at Scrapy Land this fortnight. Hope to see you for our next challenge also.
