Another
cloudy, hot and humid day here today mixed in with some rain. Because of the
cloud coverage the sun was not beating down on us so it was a little more
bearable……but we pretty much stayed inside anyway. Looks like a rainy couple
days coming and then Sunday should be a nice day.
Today
I’m posting the second card that I made for the Scrapbook and Cards challenge…..because
I didn’t like the first one.
I
used the same background paper but lined the card base with the lime green and
more lime green on top of the designer paper. The canning jar is a Close to my
Heart stamp and it was stamped on the pink and cut out. The tiny words are from
CTMH too but the others are from other sources. To bring some green into the
jar, I used a splatter stamp from Stampin’ Up and just added small splatters
here and there. The flower is from the stash. Instead of gems I used dew drops
on the left side. The sentiment was stamped (CTMH again) and it is adhered with
dimensional foam. Small pearls were added to three of the flowers in the jar.
Well,
I like it better than the other card but still not my favourite. It won’t win
because although I decided it was good enough to enter, I forgot to send it in!
LOL….Oh well, one more card ready to send to someone.
That’s
all for a hot and humid Thursday, 2016-09-08
Cheers
Violet
