A Spooky Sky Card

Well the rain finally ended about 11:00 Sunday morning so we decided to take a chance and go for a hike at Point Pelee. It turned out to be a great day for hiking but not so great at seeing many migrating birds. Today was cut the grass day and gardening day and I hope to get back down to the lower studio to continue   scrapbooking….but I also have some quilts ready to finish!

So I thought I would enter the Halloween card I made for Jack.

This started out as a piece of white cardstock. The area where the moon is was covered with a die cut circle of masking paper and then various Distress Inks were sponged all around to create a spooky sky. Then the mask was removed and some clouds were made using Distress Ink Dusty Concord swiped through the moon area and a bat was stamped. Then the trees were stamped in black ink a few times to cover the area and then the bottom was sponged with black ink and Dusty Concord ink. The coffin was stamped and cut out and added with dimensional tape. Then I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and then red embossing powder and heat set it. It was cut out and added to the coffin. This was then added to purple cardstock and then to the card base. I think Jack will like it.

That’s all for a lovely….and no rain for once….Monday, 2016-10-03

Cheers

Violet
