A Flaunt What You Got card

We had a very sunny weekend here in Ontario and I missed it! I was starting to feel better Friday but woke up Saturday feeling worse again…ditto for Sunday.  I spent both days on the couch watching movies and YouTube videos. That did it for me and I called for a doctor’s appointment and got one for this afternoon. However right after lunch the doctor’s office called to tell us that the doctor has had to cancel all his appointments for today and tomorrow too I think…Joe answered the phone as I have no voice…so bottom line is I’m off to their walk-in clinic at 5:00 instead. Hence, I’m posting a card now because knowing me I’ll forget to post one later tonight.

I made this card with my cousin in mind but decided it didn’t suit her. However, one of my friends saw and said it was perfect for her mother so I let her have it. It’s an old Stamping Bella stamp.

 

This was a mixed media colouring project. The dress and scarf were coloured with alcohol markers….not my favourite medium…and the rest of her with pencil crayons and the background is chalk. I ran a black marker around the perimeter to make it look like it was mounted on black…..a frugal tip for you….and them mounted it on the designer paper. The tag is a Little B die and the sentiment came with the stamp set.
