A Tulip Card

We had a busy, busy weekend and it continued today as well. It was nice yesterday afternoon so we went for a walk through a bush here in down and then drove up to Mitchell’s Bay to walk along their trail. We did see the Great Horned Owl but it was way up in a tall tree so the picture was not worth posting. There were also a huge flock of Robins and that was nice to see. Spring must be coming! It felt so good to walk outside again without slipping on ice!

Today’s card was made with another free image downloaded from the Internet.

The tulips were coloured with pencils and blended with gamsol. Wink of Stella was added to them and the camera really picked up on the glitter. They are not that glittery in person. In fact you have to move the card so the light hits it just right to see the glitter. The oval and circle were die cut using the Stampin’ Up’s stitched set. I left the coloured image in die and sponged on the blue. This leaves a nice white edge. The sentiment came from a Power Poppy stamp set. The banner was hand cut and then I added the fancy punched edges. All the paper is from the stash. I liked that red behind it because it really made the pink pop. It was then adhered to a pink card base.

That’s all for a sunny, but still cool, Monday, March 19, 2018.

Cheers

Violet
