Rain, blessed rain! We didn’t get a lot of rain
today but every little bit helps. They are predicting thunderstorms and rain
for tomorrow and a few days during the week as well so perhaps we will get a
bit more. Unfortunately the hot and humid weather has also returned!
Today’s card was made using the Stampin’ Up
lighthouse stamp from their High Tide set…..and more of the left over paper
that I’ve been showcasing all week.
I cut a window in the designer paper. The
lighthouse and sand was stamped and placed behind the window. The only problem was
the lighthouse looked like it was floating. So I had a strip of the co-ordinating
designer paper so I placed it across the card and it looked much better. The
sentiment was die cut with a Sizzix die. I think this would be a good masculine
card – simple with no glitz.
That’s all for a rainy Friday, July 20, 2018. Have
a wonderful and safe weekend everyone and if possible, perform a random act of
kindness. Kindness to others is free; spread it around!
Cheers
Violet

Yeah for Rain!!! We've had some too thank goodness.. Although one storm we only got the gust wind front.. otherwise it just missed us.. For which we might be glad.. It was the same storm the sunk that duck boat on Table Rock Lake in Missouri.. I think of all the people that might have been out on our Beaver Lake... the wind came thru but not as bad as what happened there i think.
ReplyDeleteLove your Lighthouse card Violet.. I think your right that coordinating strip at the bottom was just what it needed.. :) Hugs! deb
