We just had two beautiful July-like days over the weekend…in fact, you can add today to that list! The A/C is definitely back on! No rain is expected until near the end of the week either.
Today’s card is another one that turned
out better than I thought it would. I was still using up the bits and pieces of
an old 8x8 paper pack and had no idea how I was going to arrange things.
The main part of the card…the butterfly
paper…. is some paper from the pack. It was glued to a piece of cardstock that
closely matched the butterflies…although it doesn’t appear so in the photo….you’ll
have to trust me on this one. Then gold peel-off lines were added to the sides
of the butterfly paper and a die cut fence across the bottom. Then it was glued
to another purple/pink card base…which also doesn’t look like the real colour….darn
lighting where I photograph these is getting worse! Anyway, once everything was
glued down I added thick gold peel-offs around the edge to act like a frame. If
you look closely you will see tiny gold dots in all the centres of the flowers –
those are the gold peel-offs left over from lifting fancy peel-off lines. Do
not throw these out…use every bit of them! The sentiment is also a gold
peel-off. This is o much prettier in real life because everything actually
matches! I may have to change where I photograph these cards.
That’s all for a beautiful Monday,
September 17, 2018.
Cheers
Violet
