First Christmas Card

Well I finally convinced Joe I was well enough to get out of the house today so we started out after lunch…..and the car wouldn’t start. Oh boy, here we go again. Always something annoying to deal with. So we called CAA and they came and said it was not the battery but it could be the fuel pump or something else but they boosted it and got it going and Joe took it back to the dealer. It was the battery! Not sure why the CAA fellow couldn’t spot it but the battery was replace and away we sent. We managed to get a visit in with his sister and a few errands done.

I finally got the Christmas cards photographed. Here’s one I made.

The image is free download from the Internet and it was quickly coloured with pencils and blended with gamsol. Fluff was added to his hat brim and pompom. I wanted it to be layered on gold paper but the gold I had was too gold and didn’t look good with that label I had….from the stash and another thrift store find from a couple years ago….a whole package of various Christmas labels and embellishments…. Sorry, rambling, back to the post…I took a piece of buff cardstock and squirted on some clear glitter glue and low and behold it was almost the exact match as the label. Cool. I mounted it on and added the gold snowflake. The background paper is also from the stash.

That’s all for a Wednesday of mild weather but a bit of annoying day….November 14, 2018.

Cheers

Violet

PS: To save a card to your Pinterest account, simply hover over the image until the ‘Pin It” symbol appears and then click…it sometimes take a few seconds. This will take you to your own Pinterest account to save the card.
