A Star Card

The hot and humid air has returned with a vengeance….but it did bring some much needed rain! We could be looking at temperatures well over 100F Friday and Saturday…could even be as high as 112F….hey, this is Canada, the cold north!...not in the summer months!

Today’s card was almost picked for Seth’s birthday card but in the end we picked another one….to be posted on Friday.

The background was made with a Happy Birthday embossing folder. Light blue ink was rolled on one side so the embossed words stayed white but the background is light blue. The stars were die cut from a piece of cardstock that was sitting in the stash….no idea where it came from. They were glued on and if you look carefully you can see the word ‘happy’ in the middle of the bottom star. Green bakers twine was wrapped around the embossed cardstock before it was glued to the card base. This was definitely a quick and easy card. Next week I’ll post the card that I made from the piece of green that the stars were die cut from.

That’s all for a hot and humid Wednesday, July 17, 2019.

 Cheers

Violet
