The horrible heat and high humidity finally left last night and it actually felt rather cool this morning. It’s so nice to have the windows open again.
When my grandson was turning 12 I started making some ‘possible’ cards for him. I got hooked on the frog cards but chose a completely different one for him. Here’s one that I made.
The frog was stamped, coloured and die cut as was the lily pad and the butterfly. The flies were stamped and hand cut. There is a die with them but I found it easier and quicker to do it by hand. The white cardstock was die cut with some mirror image dies and was then placed on the green stripped paper which was glued to the green card base. The balloon was also die cut out of shiny green paper and white foam; glued together and then glued onto the card. The sentiment was stamped using my T.H. stamp positioner. The frog and flies eyes were coated with Glossy Accents so they shine; clear Stickles were added to the flies and butterfly’s wings. Okay, I admit I got a little carried away with the flies but they were so darn cute I just kept adding them.
That’s all for a comfortable but windy Wednesday, July 31, 2019. I’ll be back on Friday with another card.
Cheers
Violet
