An Ornament Card

It’s a bit warmer today so the snow is melting…..and it’s supposed to stay above freezing for the rest of the week; but it will also rain and/or rain and snow. This is one of the reasons November is our least liked month. We attempted to walk in the bush today but the snow was only partly melted so it was a mixture of water and ice….we abandoned the trail and walked on the sidewalk instead. The last thing we need to do is slip on ice and fall. Hurry spring!

Today’s card was made with Stampin’ Up ornament dies and Tim Holtz greenery dies.

The ornaments were die cut out of some cream shiny cardstock that I have no idea where I got but decided to use it up. Then the inside of the ornaments were die cut out of gold glitter paper from the dollar store. The Tim Holtz greenery was glittered up with my usual combination of glitter glue and glitter; some Martha Stewart punched white ferns were added too. The poinsettia was a flat, dull sticker so I glued it to some cardstock and then cut it out; added some glossy accents to make it shiny and to stiffen it…. and added gold glitter to the middle. The ornaments are hanging on silver peel-off strips. The sentiment was a silver peel-off but I ran a red alcohol marker over it to change the colour. Once it liked it, it was glued to the card base.

That’s all for a wet and slushy Monday, November 18, 2019.

          Cheers

Violet
