Belated Birthday Card

Well the temperature outside is reading as 9C (48F) but with the cool wind blowing, it feels colder than that. More mild temperatures for most of the week predicted…but with it comes some rain!

A friend of mine asked if I could make her a belated birthday card….of course I said yes. In fact I made 4 so she could have a choice. This is the one she picked.

The background is from a 6” paper pack….wish I had bought more than one now. I just cut it down to fit on a standard card base. The bird is a Tim Holtz stamp and die as are the accessories. The bird was stamped and coloured by sponging on Distress Inks and then die cut. The eyes, beak and wing were stamped again; coloured and there is a die that cuts them out which really gives the bird some dimension….and the wing hold the end of the balloon’s string. I drew a line across the eyes and shaded the top with a grey pencil to make him look even sadder. The sentiment was computer generated and then die cut with a stitched fishtail border die.

        That’s all for a cool Monday, November 25, 2019.

Cheers

Violet
