Thinking of You at Christmas Card

        We just had a very cold and wet weekend and it’s still cold. We had to attend a funeral on Saturday and it was freezing cold at the cemetery and then the rain started that evening. We just had rain here but just to the east of us they had freezing rain. Yup, winter is here. Brrrr…. We are just not winter people.

        If you have a friend or family member who has suffered the loss of a loved one during they year, they will probably not be celebrating Christmas in the same joyous way as other years but will still appreciate getting a card. So, I always make sure I have some ‘thinking of you at Christmas’ cards made. Here is one of them.

 

         For this card I started out with a piece of designer paper from a 6” paper pack and just cut it down to fit a standard card base. The trees were stamped as a second generation stamping in grey….which means the stamp was inked up; stamped on scrap paper; and then on the card. The hills were die cut and I sponged on some light blue ink here and there. The tree at the front was stamped after the hills were glued on so of course there was a little gap where the hills cross so I just used a paint brush dipped in the same ink to fill in the spaces…it worked. Then the deer was die cut and glued in place. The sentiment was stamped before I glued in the middle hill.
