The bitter
cold is now back to just above freezing - cold but nothing like last
weekend….at least the sun is shining so that makes it feel warmer. However, it
is going to be a nasty three days with rain, freezing rain and snow showers.
Today’s
card is another one made with 3D stickers. They are much nicer in real life
then they photograph so you will have to take my word that they are quite nice.
For this
card some left over pink patterned paper and light pink paper was used for the
background…both from the stash so I have no idea where they came from. Some
pink ribbon was used to ground the sticker and a gold peel off was used for the
tiny sentiment. It needed something else so I cut tiny slits in each corner of
the pink and wrapped some shiny string that came with those tiny sequins (a
dollar store find) and wrapped it around the inside to make a frame. Once I
liked it, it was glued to the background paper and then to a pale pink card
base. There was a small butterfly on the sheet as well, so it was adhered to a
dimensional dot and then added beside the flower pot. Here’s a hint using
stickers. If you are not sure if they will fit properly or suit where you want
to put them; peel them off and place them on the clear plastic package they
came in; move the plastic over onto your card to check placement; if you like
it; peel it off the plastic ….add more glue to make sure it sticks ….and glue
it down. If it doesn’t fit, simply peel it off and replace it onto the sheet.
That’s
all for a typical cold day on Thursday, January 23, 2020. There was no card
yesterday because I had some computer issues which are now corrected so I’m
back on schedule.
Cheers
Violet
