It
was cloudy in the morning but it soon cleared up and it was quite sunny and 6C
(42F) this afternoon – unless you were out in the open where the cold wind was
blowing…a little cooler then.
Today
I’m posting two cards because they are very similar.
For
this card, I took a piece of white cardstock and sponged on some yellow and
orange Distress Inks to make it look like a sunset….or sunrise, whatever. Then
I die cut the image out of black cardstock and placed it over top. It looked fine
so I glued it down and added the peel-off birthday sentiment.
For
this card I decided to add more blue the sponged areas and I stamped some trees
in very light grey ink in the background….hard to see in the photo but they are
there. When I die cut this one, the scene was not in the middle…..there was
more black at the bottom than the top. So first I embossed a stitched line
across the bottom edge about ¾” up and then glued on a die cut deer and the
peel-off sentiment. I obviously have to use the same dies over and over but I
do like to mix them up with various layouts. What appeals to one person, will
not to another so it works out fine in the long run.
That’s
all for a sunny Wednesday, March-04-20. I’ll be back on Friday with another
posting.
Cheers
Violet
