Spring
is back! Its above freezing again – but rainy!....but that’s okay. We don’t
have to shovel rain and it doesn’t make the sidewalks slippery. No frigid weather
expected for the next two weeks but lots of rain coming. I have snowdrops
blooming and daffodils and other spring bulbs are popping up as well…..love the
signs of spring.
I decided to make a wedding card last
week without any particular couple in mind….but a young hip couple for sure.
First
I die cut the bride and groom on the double bicycle twice and glued them
together. Then I sat there looking at them and didn’t have a clue what I was going
to do with them. So, I took out a piece of light yellow cardstock and sponged
on some darker yellow and a touch of orange and die cut a circle. The
background clouds came from a 6” paper pack. My first thought was to have the moon part way down the card with a horizon line but then I decided the bride and groom were
flying off into their future so I glued them on the moon. Then I had to think
of a sentiment and I used ‘forever love’ from two different die sets – each cut
twice and glued together. It’s different than the usual wedding cards I make
but the right couple will love it.
That’s Cheers
Violet
