Flip card Number Three

In between the rain this morning and late this afternoon I was able to get all the bedding plants in and fertilized with Miracle Gro! I just finished as the rain started again. It’s so good to be working outside and seeing flowers and green grass and trees with leaves and birds singing and….well, you get the drift. It’s been a long cold winter and a long cold, wet spring stuck in the house because of COVID-19.
This is the last flip card for right now; it’s pretty but it does not have the happiest of endings.

This is the card folded up. Once again, the sentiment is straight but the card is on an angle. The score line on the far right started to look a little weak so double sided tape was run down the middle of it and a yellow ribbon was glued on with a bow added afterwards. It was okay but I wasn’t sure if the ribbon was going to stay glued down or not.
Here is the card opened up.
You can see the ribbon that runs down the seam on the right side. But then I noticed the seam on the left was starting to open up. That is supposed to be a score line, not a cut line. Then I realized that I had forgotten to remove the steel plate that helps cuts detailed dies from the Big Shot so it was probably too much pressure. I briefly thought of adding another strip of ribbon there but then decided it was time to give up on this one. Did it go in the recycle bin? NO! I dismantled the card with the paper cutter and the good bits will be used in other cards. Very little went to waste. I hope to post those cards next week.
That’s all for a lovely day between the rain showers on Friday, May 22, 2020. Have a safe and happy weekend all. Stay home, stay safe and if you go out into the public, please wear a mask.
Cheers
Violet
