A Bird and Music Notes Card

Hello everyone! It’s Friday again! This year seems to be going slow and fast at the same time! The days seem long because we are still stuck at home for the most part; but here it is past the middle of June already! Crazy! We normally would be getting some walks in but we are under a severe heat warning right now and it’s way too hot to be doing anything much outside. Some good news is that Ontario is definitely flattening the curve on this dreadful pandemic. We only had 173 new cases yesterday in the entire province and Ontario is the most populated province in Canada. Hopefully where you live is also doing well. Keeping the ‘social distance’ bit is the key!

Today’s card is the second one made with the music sheets that I downloaded from Pinterest and it is the card my friend chose. Please refer back to Wednesday’s post for details.

I used the same papers for this card as for Wednesday’s card but instead of just stamping a solid image over the notes, I added a stamped and hand cut bird. The bird was stamped on white cardstock and then lightly coloured using some ink and a blender pen. Because I was just using cardstock, I didn’t want to use water to spread the ink. There was no die with this stamp so I just cut it out by hand and then glued it to the card. The label was punched and the sentiment added.

That’s all for a hot and humid Friday, on June 19th, 2020. Yesterday Joe and I celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary! We normally go out for supper to celebrate but this time we did the Chinese take-out and celebrated at home. It’s the first time we have had take-out since the pandemic started.

Cheers

Violet

PS: To save a card to your Pinterest account, simply hover over the image until the ‘Pin It” symbol appears and then click…it sometimes take a few seconds. This will take you to your own Pinterest account to save the card.
