We had a marvelous weekend with summer like temperatures and
took advantage of it by biking and hiking at Rondeau Park. Today is a rainy day
and we really need a rain here in town. I’m sure the farmers are not happy
about it as they are trying to get the crops in now.
Today I’m posting the last Halloween card I made for the
grandkids.
The background was made the same as the other four – scroll back
to previous posts to read about the process. The background was cut down to 4 x
5 ¼ so it would fit on a regular card base. The spider web is from a T.H. stamp
set. The tombstones are from an old set I have no idea who the manufacturer is.
Distress Dusty Concord Ink and Black Soot were sponged around the edges only
leaving the middle very light.
The
skull and bones is from a very old Spellbinder die set. I die cut them all
twice and glued the bones together and rubbed some soft grey around the edges
to make them look old. The two skulls were glued together and black ink was
sponged around the edges – but very gently. I die cut the skull again from black cardstock
and used the small bits and eyes to fill in the holes in the white skull. The
sentiment was heat embossed in white onto a scrap of black cardstock and glued
on on an angle. Before gluing this to the card base four black square brads
were inserted in each corner.
That’s all for a rainy Monday, September-28-2020.
Cheers
Violet
