Fall has more than officially arrived – we may have frost tonight! Yesterday was a beautiful day but today it was cloudy and a cold wind was blowing so I stayed inside. Our tree is losing leaves so fast it’s incredible.
One of our grandsons is turning 16 later this month so I made
a ‘possible’ birthday card for him. I usually make more than one card for
everyone’s birthday and hubby picks the one he likes best. So here’s the first
one.
I
came across this background paper in the stash and decided to use it. It was
simply adhered to a 5.5 inch square card. Then I found this tag in an envelope
that was gifted to me in with a huge bag full of odds and ends. The tag pulls
out and a gift card can be attached to it. The colours were close enough to use
with the background….but it needed a buffer. So, in the stash I found that
strip of cardstock that was off white with a bit of green in a marble-like
pattern. First it was dipped in some Distress Ink that was streaked against the
glass and sprayed with water and then the edges were inked with Distress Walnut
Stain. This was a pretty quick card to
put together. Its okay but not sure hubby is going to like the little sentiment
tag for a 16 year old boy but it came with the tag so I left it – for now!
That’s it for Friday, October-02-20 20. Wishing everyone a
safe, happy and creative weekend.
Cheers
Violet
