Another Cold Day and a Card

It’s still bitter cold here in Southwestern Ontario and we are still in the “stay at home” order from the Premier. It may be lifted a bit next week though. Hubby hopes they at least let the hairdressers work – he’s getting a bit shaggy looking!

Today I’m posting another card with the alcohol inked background as Friday’s post. This is the piece that was cut off from the other one. It looks crooked but it’s not. It’s just the camera angle. I didn't notice how crooked it was or I could have fixed it in Photoshop.

This piece was mounted on some plain paper that matched the lightest colour in the background.  A piece of clear velum was placed over top and wrapped and to the back. Then it was glued to a Kraft background. The ‘for you’ sentiment was heat embossed in white. The ‘prayers’ was die cut three times and glued together and then glued on. The butterfly has a brad that goes through the Kraft background to hold the velum in place. Once I was satisfied with it, it was then glued to a white card base.

That’s all for a very cold Monday on February 8, 2021.

Cheers

Violet

PS: To save a card to your Pinterest account, simply hover over the image until the ‘Pin It” symbol appears and then click…it sometimes take a few seconds. This will take you to your own Pinterest account to save the card.
