The hot and humid weather is back! Yesterday we decided to brave it and go for a 21.6km bike ride at Rondeau. It’s usually cooler by the lake, and it was, but the Stable Flies were brutal! As long as we were biking it was okay, but if we stopped at all, even for a drink, they would attack – and they bite and it hurts. I hate those flies. No bug repellent repels them either. They bite by sight and not repelled by any strong odour. Horrible, horrible things. I guess if we go again we will have to wear long pants and shirts.
Okay, rant is over. I did get a
few more cards made. Here is one of them.
This started out as white cardstock. The sky and clouds were
sponged on using a variety of Distress Inks. I watched a YouTube video from
Lavina Stamps on how to make a cloudy sky and it was a lot easier than I ever
thought. The silhouette greenery is from an old stamp set and then the three
butterflies were stamped on and then the sentiment. It was then mounted on
black cardstock and then onto a blue card base.
That’s all for
another hot and humid Friday, August-20-2021.

sometimes takes a few seconds. This will take you to your own Pinterest account
