We had a beautiful weekend weather wise but we are now under a thunderstorm watch and heavy rain warning - for about 24 hours! I told Joe on the weekend that we need a gently all-day rain - well, we will get the all day part but I don’t think it will be gentle from the way the wind is blowing.
Here is today’s card.
This card would fall into both the ‘quick and easy’ and the ‘clean and simple” categories. Neither one means you slap a few bits on a card and call it done! For this card I took a piece of green cardstock and glued it to a card base. Then I ran a rusty coloured stamp across the green just to add some interest. The deer and the trees are all one piece. They were die cut twice; once from black and once from white with the black glued onto the white but offset so the white looks like a shadow. Instead of gluing this focal image to the middle of the card, I used the ‘rule of thirds’ and placed it on the left side about one third in. This is more pleasing to the eye than dead centre. Then the black peel-off was added to the right side to balance the card. This is a great masculine card - clean and simple with no bows or glitter.
That’s all for a windy and storm-approaching Tuesday, September 21, 2021.
Cheers
Violet
