Frightful

       We are experiencing some beautiful fall weather right now. Hard to believe September is almost over though. I’m still making Halloween cards. Here’s another one.

                     
     The background was made by dipping some water colour paper in various Distress Inks - and maybe even some sprays leaving the middle in the yellow tones. Once the background was to my liking, the fun began by die cutting some Tim Holtz bats - love this die set - and gluing them using a variety of sizes. I used a sparkling gel pen to make the eyes. The ‘frightful’ was die cut from Tim Holt’s Halloween word die set - can you tell I’m a HUGE Tim fan? - and it was die cut twice, once from black and once from white. The black was glued on top but offset of the white leaving a white shadow.

Then I decided it needed something along the bottom - which I should have thought of first off but I didn’t. So I found a stencil of an old cemetery and sponged black Distress ink through it. Perfect. I really like how this card turned out and I may make another one very similar to it. None of the backgrounds turn out the same though even if you use the same ink.
