A Birthday Gnome Card

The weather in March in Ontario is ridiculous. It was freezing cold over the weekend, still cold today but not in the freezing level, but tomorrow it will be close to 60F….then cold again. Crazy. This is the type of weather that causes people to catch a cold. You never know how to dress.

Before we get to my card posting, I’m sharing some info on a friend of mine. If you are looking for some inspirations and card ideas, I can certainly recommend our local Stampin’ Up dealer, The Pampered Stamper. Jackie has some excellent YouTube Videos, a blog and is one Facebook. Just look up The Pampered Stamper on any of the mentioned platforms. If you view any of her videos on YouTube, leave a comment and tell her that Crafty Violet sent you over…and say where you are from. No, I don’t get anything from her from sending you over, but she likes to know how you found her and where you are from.  If you don’t have a local Stampin’ Up dealer, you can order from her as well.

Now, on to my card for today. Last week was my granddaughter’s birthday. She loves purple and gnomes so she got a purple gnome birthday card.

The gnome was die cut and pieced back together. I used coloured cardstock this time instead of white and colouring it. I dug into my stash and pulled out the small pieces that would work. She also loves butterflies so the heart balloon was die cut out of a scrap of cardstock that just happened to have a butterfly on it. I added the purple ribbon so the gnome would have something to stand on and wouldn’t be floating. The sentiment is a black peel-off. She loved it.

That’s all for a cold Tuesday, March 15.

Cheers

Violet

PS: To save a card to your Pinterest account, simply hover over the image until the ‘Pin It” symbol appears and then click…it sometimes takes a few seconds. This will take you to your own Pinterest account to save the card.
