An Art Impression Oldie

Another beautiful day here although it was a bit cool in the morning. This afternoon it got much hotter and with big black clouds hinting it may rain, but no, it didn’t. Everything is so dry here it’s terrible.

The other day I pulled out a bin with stamped images; some coloured, some partially coloured, most still blank, and was shocked at how many I had stamped and waiting to put into cards. I pulled a few out and got them used. Here is one of them.

I had this one (Art Impression Oldie) stamped and coloured (coloured pencils and gamsol) on a piece of white cardstock that was 4.25 x 5.5 so I cut it down to 4 x 5.25 so it would fit on an A2 card and leave a border. The sky was a blend of blues leaving the centre almost white. The grass was stamped with green ink. The balloon was not coloured so I ran a red Bic pen over it and then used a white pen to add the hi-lite. Two holes were punched in his hand holding the balloon, one for the string to go in and one for it go out. It does look like he’s holding the balloon - which is popped up on some dimensional tape. The sentiment was computer generated - ignore that piece of white laying on it. It’s just a scrap piece that tagged along and is now off. It was then mounted on to a 4.25 x 5.5 card base.

That’s all for a beautiful summer Monday, August 15, 2022.

 Cheers

Violet

PS: To save a card to your Pinterest account, simply hover over the image until the ‘Pin It” symbol appears and then click…it sometimes takes a few seconds. This will take you to your own Pinterest account to save the card.
